<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method which enables easy/uniform forming of a coated thin layer of photocatalytic inorganic particles over an object to be coated and manufacturing of a functional coated body which is capable of displaying a high degree of functional properties (antibacterial and deodorizing properties) in an industrially advantageous manner with a minimum coating build-up. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a functional coated body is to atomize a liquid-like or a powder-like material containing inorganic particles with a photocatalytic action over the surface of an object to be coated which is at least, conductive on the surface or is conductivity treated in advance, with the help of an electrostatic coating machine, and cause the material to be absorbed into the surface of the object to be coated. The photocatalytic inorganic particles are preferably the photocatalytic inorganic particles of ultrafine titanium oxide. When the material to be atomized is a liquid-like material, it is preferably made of photocatalytic inorganic particles, an inorganic or an inorganically convertible binder and a medium.</p> |
