The procedure consists of fitting an insulating panel to the inside of the pressed steel garage door inside its surround and against its surface ribs and fixing it in place with a self-adhesive aluminum strip (6) 0.1 - 0.2 mm thick and 40 - 60 mm wide. The strip coated with a pressure adhesive (6), is attached to the surface of the door surround and pressed into place against it and the back of the insulating panel with the aid of a shaped pressure bar (7). The adhesive strip is also used to cover joints between adjoining panel sections.
