<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to form a depth of cut in an insulation of a cable at a predetermined position, by forming cable holding portion adjustable depending upon a cable distemper and sheath thickness by a cable-holding portion restricting depth of cut in cable sheath and a cable receiving portion for placing the cable on a fixing portion. SOLUTION: A moving portion 2 has a pressing level 11 at one end and, at the other end, has a blade 12 forming a depth of cut in a sheath and a cable holding 13 restricting the depth of cut. A fixing portion 3 has a lever 15 at its one end for rotating a cable sheath cutter 1 in a predetermined direction by attaching the user's finger and, at the other end, a cable receiving portion 16 is provided for placing the cable. Also, a biasing element 6 biases so as to form a cable holding portion 5 by clamping with the cable holding portion 13 and the cable receiving portion 16. The cable holding 5 has a construction capable of adjusting the clearance between the cable holding portion 13 and the cable receiving portion 16 or the amount of exposure of the blade 2 depending on the cable diameter or the thickness sheath.</p> |
