OBJECT PRESENCE JUDGING METHOD, OBJECT MOVEMENT JUDGING METHOD AND ITS EXECUTING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit judging the presence and movement of an object in a wide range place where photographing by means of a general TV camera is impossible through the use of a line sensor camera by judging presence or absence of the object from presence or absence in the feature shape of a partial image among the images which are obtained by means of the line sensor camera from the depth of the image. SOLUTION: A storage device 102, a display device 103 and a measuring instrument 104 are connected to an information processor 101. A measurement value storing part 107 and an object shape feature storing part 108 are provided in the storage device 102 and a distance sensor 105 and the line sensor camera 106 are provided in the measuring instrument 104. In the processor, the image obtained by the line sensor camera 106 is synchronized with a distance measured by the distance sensor 105 so as to obtain the depth of the image and the partial image with a possibility that the object is included is extracted by the comparison of length in a horizontal direction, which is one of the shape features included in the object to be identified. Moreover, presence or absence of the object to be identified is judged by the texture comparison of the image.
