PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent frame-out caused by an increased load of a microprocessor in a multimedia information processing unit that simultaneously decodes a plurality of compression stream data. SOLUTION: A processing content control section 187 measures a load for decoding processing imposed on a decoding section 180 and partly skips contents of inverse DC transformation processing conducted by an inverse DCT section depending on the measurement result of the load so as to suppress increase in a load of the microprocessor for decoding processing or a traffic, thereby decreasing the possibility of occurrence of frame-out.
