Novel remedies or preventives for frequent urination or urinary incontinence which are superior in usefulness to the existing drugs. Specifically, heterocyclic compounds represented by the following general formula (1): Ar1-X-(CH2)m-B or pharmacologically acceptable thereof which are useful as remedies or preventives for frequent urination or urinary incontinence, and remedies or preventives as described above which contain the same as the active ingredient, wherein Ar represents optionally substituted phenyl, indanyl, naphthyl or tetrahydronaphthyl; X represents -C(OH)R1-CR2R3- or -CR1=CR3- (wherein R1 represents hydrogen, lower alkyl, cycloalkyl or optionally substituted phenyl; and R2 and R3 are the same or different and each represents hydrogen or lower alkyl); m is an integer of 1 or 2; and B represents an optionally substituted heterocycle.
