DISTRIBUTION DAMPER VALVE

An air distribution valve (10) for use in a passageway of an environmental control system comprises a valve body (12) including an input (14), and multiple outputs (16, 18) defining a volume (24). The valve body is adapted for placement in the passageway for receiving the air in the input. A valve member (20) is used for selectively distibuting the air between the multiple outputs. Damping devices (34, 36) for damping the unstabilizing effect of the airflow on the valve member as the air flows to the multiple outlets allow for the lowest pressure drop configuration. An environmental control system (100) is designed for use with a vehicle for a plurality of uses, and the air distribution valve for use in the ducting.
