PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a picking device capable of extending the life of a rapier band. SOLUTION: A first position-controlling member 17 is disposed from an access boundary K1 to the side of a non-wrapping range H, and a second position-controlling member 18 is disposed at a place near to a boundary K2. A third position-controlling member 19 is disposed from the access boundary K1 to the side of a wrapping range E. The first position-controlling member 17 and the second position-controlling member 18 are provided with guide flat surfaces 171, 181 brought into contact with a rapier band 12 on the side of the non-wrapping range H. The third position-controlling member 19 is provided with a circular shape curved guide surface 191 brought into contact with the rapier band 12 on the side of the wrapping range E. The curved guide surface 191 is smoothly continued to the guide flat surface 171.
