FIELD: commodity goods, in particular, ledge for hanging curtains. SUBSTANCE: ledge has two tubular members, inner and outer, which are telescopically connected one with another for axial displacement, device for retaining tubular members one with respect to another, ledge retaining devices positioned on free ends of tubular members and device for reducing resistance of rings to motion. Resistance reducing device is made in the form of chamfer on outer tubular member. Chamfer surface intersects either cylindrical and end surfaces of outer tubular member or only its cylindrical surface. Chamfer may be made as flat surface disposed at an acute angle to tubular member axis, or as curved surface. Flat part or rounded portion may be made at the point of intersection of chamfer and outer cylindrical surface of tubular member. Such construction facilitates reducing of resistance of rings to motion at the point where rings transfer from inner tubular member to outer tubular member.
