PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To compress data by extracting the array of data with a proper length, which exists in data, and replacing it with the array of data with a shorter length, which does not exist in data. SOLUTION: The array of three-byte data which appears more than twice within data recorded in a memory is replaced with the array of one-byte data which does not appear. At first, data is scanned and the array of three-byte data which appears more than twice and the arrayal of one-byte data which does not appear are obtained. Then, the array of three-byte data which appears more than twice is made to correspond to the array of one-byte data which does not appear in order from the top of the array. Then, the former array existing in data is replaced with the latter one which is previously made to correspond so as to generate compression data. |
