<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller of a library device capable of efficiently and safely controlling plural transporting devices. SOLUTION: The operation of two accessors (transporting devices of magnetic tape which is a recording medium) running along one guide rail are decided respectively by directors 61a, 61b. Each of the accessors is moved by servo control parts 64a, 64b in accordance with the decision of the directors 61a, 61b. At this time, positional data of each accessor are obtained by the servo control parts 64a, 64b, and by comparing them, the decision is made whether the accessors are brought into contact with each other. When the decision is made by the servo control parts 64a, 64b as the accessors are brought into contact with each other, each driving circuit 68 is stopped. By this procedure, X motors 105 of each accessor are stopped, then each accessor is stopped.</p> |
