PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To drastically improve processing efficiency by arranging a POS terminal, which enables registration of purchased merchandises and transactions by itself, together with a POS terminal existent on a checkout lane. SOLUTION: A fixed scanner 11 of such a POS terminal 1 optically reads the bar code of purchased merchandise, a PLU keyboard/display 12 manually inputs the price of purchased merchandise, which can not be read by the fixed scanner 11, and various kinds of data such as the inputted price of purchased merchandise, the purchase price as the total price of purchased price or the like are displayed. Besides, respective drawers 13a and 13b to store paper moneys and coins or the like, a printer 15 for receipt only has a receipt printing function, and registration of purchased merchandises and transactions can be executed with one POS terminal. Therefore, this POS terminal 1 is arranged together with the POS terminal existent on a checkout lane 10 so that processing efficiency is improved at the time of two-person operation or the fatigue of an operator is reduced in the case of one-person operation. |
