摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To record and reproduce data such as animation or the like without decreasing a transmission speed and adding a special circuit while securing the same transmission rate, by making constant a product of a revolution number for each zone and a corresponding count of sector areas per one track for the zone. SOLUTION: A revolution number (39.78-19.91 Hz) is decreased towards an outer circumference from an inner circumference of an optical disk 1 at zones 43a,... 43x of a data area 43, while a count of sectors (17-40) per one track is increased. The revolution number at each zone 43a,... 43x is set so that a product of the revolution number with the corresponding count of sectors of the zone 43a,... 43x is constant. Accordingly, a transmission rate is nearly constant on the optical disk 1, and a constant user data bit rate is secured all over the optical disk 1. In other words, serial data such as animation or the like can be recorded, reproduced.
