PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress proliferation of Ieukocyte without causing adverse effect such as sunburn-like reaction by use of hypericin in a low concentration by administering a composition containing a hypericin derivative to mammal and photoactivating the hypericin derivative. SOLUTION: A composition containing a hypericin derivative is administered to Leukocyte group of mammal (e.g. human) having leukocyte-associated diseases or hindrance (e.g. psoriasis) by a method of oral administration, local administration, etc., and the hypericin derivative is photoactivated to suppress proliferation or accumulation of leukocyte. Hypericin of formula I, protohypericin of formula II, pseudohypericin of formula III, etc., is exemplified as the hypericin derivative. A method irradiating visible light or UV-A light which is preferably a light having about 500-650 nm wavelength is preferably used as the method for photoactivating the hypericin derivative. |
