The end regions of the pipe have a circular cross-section. The intermediate section (b) of the pipe has indentations (c) extending in the longitudinal direction between the ends. These indentations are present in more than two sides of the pipe. This ensures that the intermediate section of the pipe has a roughly star-shaped cross-section, and the same indentations taper off towards the circular end regions.
