<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the fitting work of handrails, by providing intermediate fitting pieces supporting the handrails, at not only the upper part but also the lower part of the upper end fitting piece, in a handrail stay that the handrails provided at the peripheral edge of the uppermost floor or a balcony of a building are supported by the upper end fitting piece. SOLUTION: Intermediate fitting pieces 1 are provided at the lower part of the upper end fitting piece 10 of a handrail stay S1 and insertion holes 12 in which fixing tools 11 fixing a rail R are inserted, are formed in the upper end fitting piece 10 and the intermediate fitting pieces 1 and recesses 2 corresponding to the shape of the intermediate fitting piece 1 or the handrail R are formed in the handrail stay S1. And the intermediate fitting pieces 1 are fitted in the recesses 2 and a rail R is put thereon and fixed with the fixing tools 11. And further, when the handrail R is supported by the intermediate fixing piece 1, the contact face of the intermediate fitting piece 1 getting in contact with the handrail R is turned upward. Accordingly, a plurality of rows of handrails can be fitted.</p> |
