PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scattered ray screen which makes absorption characteristic as uniform as possible especially for a medical X-ray apparatus. SOLUTION: This scattered ray screen comprises a holder material having absorption elements especially in the form of a lead sheet arranged in rows extending in substance parallel with each other at intervals and the intervals D and D' of the rows of the absorption elements 5 and 6 are made larger within the range of the rim of the screen than those within the range at the center thereof. In the scattered ray screen obtained, the widths d and d' of the absorption elements 5 and 6 are made larger within the range of the rim thereof than those within the range at the center thereof.
