Use is claimed as adhesive for posters in weather-influenced external sites of a mixture containing (A) a water-soluble polymer (preferably a polysaccharide derivative); and (B) a non-water-soluble but water-dispersible polymer (preferably polyvinyl acetate). Preferably (A) is Na carboxymethylcellulose, Me cellulose, carboxymethyl starch or hydroxypropyl starch. The composition comprises 1-99.5 wt.% (A) and 0.5-99 wt.% (B), an especially preferred composition comprising 80-99 wt.% Na carboxymethylcellulose, 8-12 wt.% redispersion powder and 0.1-1 wt.% preservative.
