PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a display unevenness (shadowings) which is to be generated by the bluntness of changes of signal electrode voltages in one line selection method. SOLUTION: Display data for correction (b) equivalent to one display frame are produced by inverting only values of display data of even-numbered scanning lines of display data (a) equivalent to one display frame displayed in a display period and frequencies of changes of respective signal electrode voltages during a priod in which the display period and a flyback line period are added are made even by successively applying voltages in accordance with the display data for correction (b) to respective signal electrodes for every line of the display data for correction (b) in a flyback line period and, thus, amounts of fluctuation of effective values of voltages of display dots of the respective signal electrodes are made even.
