The Citizens band inter car signalling method has an antenna (3) transmitting coded messages (1) using a transmitter (2). Three levels of danger codes can be transmitted to other motorists. The antenna receives (4) modulated messages on a carrier, and a decoder (5) interprets and surveys incoming information. When a danger signal is received, a sound alert (S) is set off or a light (L1,L2,L3) lit dependent on the danger level.
