The apparatus comprises means (14) for acquiring data relative to the card bearer and a printer for editing cards (4). The assembly is grouped in a portable block also comprising a video camera (23) retractable into the housing (21) of a case (1). The image recorded by the camera, processed if necessary by an automatic framing software, appears on the screen simultaneously with a display (28, 29, 31) of the card being set. When the video image (32) is considered to be satisfactory, the operator commands the storage of an instantaneous picture which will be the one appearing on the card. The invention is useful for facilitating the editing of identifying cards and for enabling the apparatus to be used on successive sites, for instance by rental. |
