PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject preparation having melnogenesis inhibitory effect, useful for preventing and improving pigmentation/liver spots/freckles, etc., after suntan, and excellent in skin whitening effect, by including extracts from Micromelum minutum and/or Micromelum pubescens. SOLUTION: This preparation for external use for skin is obtained by including pref. 0.0005-5 (more pref. 0.002-2) wt.%, on a dry solid basis, of extracts obtained by subjecting the dried leaves/twigs and trunks/barks/flowers/fruits/ roots of Micromelum minimum and/or Micromelum pubescens to extraction with a solvent such as water, a lower monohydric alcohol like methyl or ethyl alcohol or liquid polyhydric alcohol like glycerol, propylene glycol or 1,3- butylene glycol. |
