Armour against hollow charge ammunition

The armour protection against penetration by shot, and especially hollow charge ammunition, has a number of pockets to hold explosive charges (13) to be detonated by the striking shot, covered by bodies (14) which are blown into the path of the plasma jet generated by the exploding hollow charge. The explosive charges (13) and bodies (14) are structured and deployed so that the pressure force (D) of the explosive gases, and the centre of gravity (S) of the bodies (14) each form a lever arm (a).
