The sensor includes a focussing dielectric lens and at least three first exciting elements (311,321,331) which form at least three antenna beams in conjunction with the lens. The exciting elements are either switchably or permanently connected with first transmission and reception circuits (313) of the radar sensors. At least a further excitation element (312,332) is provided which is arranged in parallel to one of the first excitation elements. Both excitation elements receive the signals from the same transmission circuit and deliver the signal mutually to the same reception circuit.
