<p>This invention relates to novel 2-oxo-1-azetidine sulfonic acid derivatives of formula (I) which are of value for use in combination with β-lactam antibiotics to increase their effectiveness against infections caused by β-lactamase producing bacteria. In said formula, (I) R1 is a 5-membered heterocyclic ring esp. thiophene, 2-amino thiazole. R2 is a moiety containing hydroxypyridone or N-hydroxypyridone.</p> |
