PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray generation device, capable of generating an X-ray having high luminance and a wavelength region further widened toward a shorter wavelength side. SOLUTION: An X-ray generation device is composed of a laser device 1, a condenser lens 3, a vacuum vessel 4 having a target 5 therein, and a pulse high-voltage power source 10 which applies a pulse voltage to a laser plasma 6, which is the generation source of an X-ray 7 produced on the target 5 by the irradiation of a laser beam 2. By applying a pulse electric field to the laser plasma 6, a hard X-ray can be obtained which has high luminance and a shorter wavelength component by a constitution of the same scale as a conventional X-ray generation device using the laser plasma. |
