PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance efficiency of energy by control of raising temperature of air in a passage by a method wherein a heat exhausting means which exhausts reaction heat generated when contaminant is decomposed by reaction into non-contaminating substance outside the passage, is disposed in the passage. SOLUTION: Without a specific time, an opening and closing valve 32 opens a passage 12 and closes an exhaust passage 31, and accumulates contaminant contained in air in an adsorbent 21 by successively adsorbing. Within a specific time, the adsorbent 21 is regenerated by being heated at about 150-200 deg.C with a regenerative heater 22. Besides, a catalyst 23 is heated at about 300 deg.C with a catalyst heater 24, and executes catalytic function when the contaminant released by regeneration from the adsorbent 21 is decomsposed by reaction into non-contaminating substance. At this time, the opening and closing valve 32 closes the passage 12, and opens an exhaust passage 31. Therefore, reaction heat generated when the contaminant is decomposed by reaction into non- contaminating substance together with air is exactly exhausted outside the passage 12 through the exhaust passage 31. Thereby, rise of temperature in the passage is restrained, and efficiency of energy can be consequently raised. |
