PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device forming an image on a recording sheet based on original image information by an electrophotographic method, capable of executing specified preliminary processing once or twice or more times before switching to an image forming permission state from an image forming inhibition state based on a failure state caused in the device, capable of finishing the preliminary processing early in accordance with the failure state, so that the image forming permission state is attained in an early stage and waiting time is shortened all the more, and being excellent in handleability. SOLUTION: At the time of detecting the failure state such as jamming that makes a copying machine in a copying inhibition state, the failure state is stored in a memory in a computer. After the failure state is eliminated and before the copying machine is restored to a copying permission state again, only necessary processing is performed as the preliminary processing out of checking the recording sheet on a transfer drum, processing for stabilizing the image and processing for cleaning the transfer drum according to the failure state stored in the memory. |
