PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure superior luster, transparency, blocking resistance, etc., by incorporating at least a styrenic resin, a colorant and an electrostatic charge controlling agent, imparting a specified viscosity at a specified temp. and specifying the mol.wt. of a THF-soluble component. SOLUTION: This color toner contains at least a styrenic resin, a colorant and an electrostatic charge controlling agent and has <=3,000P viscosity (η180 ) at 180 deg.C. The number average mol.wt. (Mn) of a THF-soluble component in this toner is 2,000 to 10,000 and the ratio of the wt. average mol.wt. (Mw) of the component to the number average mol.wt. (Mn) is <3.5. A homopolymer or copolymer of various styrene monomers is used as the styrene resin. The styrene monomers are styrene and its derivs. such as styrene, α- and β- methylstyrenes, o- and p-methylstyrenes and p-ethylstyrene. |
