PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize the complex constellation point multiplier with a smaller size and lower power consumption that those of a conventional complex multiplexer in place thereof. SOLUTION: The complex constellation point multiplier multiplexes complex numbers based on points in a digital modulation constellation. A desired constellation point is mapped onto a digital control work. Complex numbers are coupled with multiplicant input nodes 610, 615 and digital control words are coupled with control input nodes 620, 623, 626. The control word controls simple arithmetic blocks such as switches 615-658, accumulators 650, 659, scaler blocks 663, 665 and negation blocks 643, 646 via logic gates 602, 603, 605, 606, 607, 609 to generate an output complex number being a product between the input complex number and the constellation point. |
