<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To connect an electric device to a cigarette lighter socket in particular by pulling out a locking finger in the radial direction by relative rotary movement between inner and outer sleeves of a female connector so as to be adapted to the diameter of a socket. SOLUTION: A connector is made of an inner sleeve 10, an outer sleeve 12, and a locking finger 14. Rotary displacement means firmly mounted to the inner sleeve 10 makes it possible to remove a locking finger 14 in the radial direction from an initial position during rotary movement between the inner sleeve 10 and the outer sleeve 12. The rotary displacement means 16 consists of a cam element 18 having a cam contour, thereby the locking finger 14 firmly mounted to the outer sleeve 12 moves so as to be distant from the initial position under the influence of the cam element 18, thereby an outer diameter of the male connector is adopted to an inner diameter, and they are held in mechanical and electrical contact after insertion.</p> |
