<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to melt snow deposited onto an overhead ground line, regardless of the quality of snow, by winding, around the overhead ground line spirally, a long heater line having heating elements of copper alloy lines of low resistance values and an outermost layer of an aluminum pipe. SOLUTION: A long heater line 9 is provided with an aluminum pipe 5 as an outermost layer on copper alloy lines 4 as heating elements, and electrical insulation is obtained by filling up between the two copper alloy lines 4 and between each of those copper alloy lines 4 and the alluminum pipe 5 with a magnesium oxide 6. This long heater line 9 is wound around an overhead ground line 1 around which a wind sound preventing spiral rod 7 has been wound, reversely to the wind sound, preventing spiral rod 7. As a power source for this, a commercial power source or a combination of a solar cell and a battery is used. Consequently, it becomes possible to melt snow deposited onto the overhead ground line, regardless of the quality of snow.</p> |
