Ball joint between operating lever and valve shaft

The ball joint consists of a journal (4) with spherical endface (5) acting with the spherical surface (6) of a joint liner (7) with a flat surface (8) at its other end against the valve stem (3). The joint liner is held on the journal by a holding element. The holding element is fitted in opposite recesses (13,14) in the interior of the journal and the liner. It may consist of holding washers (15,16), fitted elastically in the recesses. These washers have a bore (18,19) to receive a member (17) connecting the two washers.
