摘要

Nonwoven material for wet wipes comprises a hydrocentangled mixt. of pulp fibres and man-made fibres and a wet strength agent, specifically a water soluble reaction prod. of epichlorohydrin and a polyamide. The entanglement energy level is up to 0.2 horsepower per pound of the material, e.g. 0.002-0.2 horsepower or 0.01-0.15 horsepower. The material pref. contains 0.5-1.3 wt% of wet strength material. The man-made fibres are pref. rayon in amt. 5-30 wt% mixed with wood or nonwood natural fibres. Material basis wt. is 50-90 g/m2 and its absorptive capacity is 500% or 600% min.
