PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the plug attachment/detachment of keyword through a transparent system independent for the operation of computer system. SOLUTION: When keyboards 157 and 159 are not leaded, a virtual keyboard communicates with a keyboard controller 156 on a virtual keyboard. Since this virtual keyboard returns a suitable answer for a question from an operating system at start-up state and even without really mounting any keyboard, the system executes boot processing. When the plug of keyboard is inserted, the existence of this keyboard is detected and the virtual keyboard controller performs configuration to the keyboard. After the configuration is performed, the newly connected keyboard is coupled with a keyboard controller 156 of the system. A power supply line to the keyboard is monitored, the eject of plug of keyboard is detected and at the time of detection, it is recoupled with the keyboard controller of the virtual keyboard system. |
