Weight exercising machine with weight-balanced load arm

The machine has a load arm (1) which is pivoted to the machine frame (3) and carries weights (6). The load arm is moved by arms or legs of a person, acting against the force of arm and/or weights. The weights are completely or partially balanced by a spring (4) which is located between the load arm and a support surface (2) e.g. the floor or part of the frame. The spring is positioned near the pivot joint (5), and may be in the form of a gas compression spring. It is connected to the load arm and the support surface via joints (8,9).
