Tension or alignment device for hanging doors

The tension element (13) which fits in a recess (10) of the door panel acts between two axially spaced tension areas (12) provided on a profiled member (11) extending along the tension element. The profile is flexible in a first plane enclosing the axis of the tension element so that when the latter is tensioned the profile deforms through bending in this plane. The tension element can extend over the entire length of the profile which has at each end a tension area or bearing. Where two tension elements are provided each extends over part of the length of the profile.
