PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a backup power-supply system, by which a load power- supply system becomes an optimum and reasonable power-supply system as a whole when the backup power supply of a vehicle power supply is taken into consideration, and by which a power supply device becomes small, lightweight and low-cost as a whole on the assumption that a load is not limited or the load is not stopped partly or wholly during the backup power supply. SOLUTION: In the auxiliary power supply where this system is applied, a high voltage input having a fluctuation is supplied from a high voltage stringing by means of a pantograph or the like. After converting power to AC, a plurality of power supply units 2 to 4 are mounted to each vehicle constituting a train of rolling stock for supplying low and stable AC output to various kinds of low voltage onboard apparatuses. In this case, an emergency power- supply device 1A is loaded onto an arbitrary vehicle. When any of the power- supply devices 2 to 4 is broken down, the broken-down power-supply device is released from a load, and the load which is electrified by the broken-down power-supply device is backed up and electrified from the emergency power- supply device 1A. |
