Chip card

The chip card has a housing (1) with an upper and a lower side. It also has an inner chip plug (2) and an outer chip plug (3) for connection to peripheral devices. The outer chip plug has a plug body which fits into the upper and lower sides of the chip card. The chip plug has an outer function surface with corresponding contact elements and an inner function surface with contact elements. The chip card also has an infrared transmitter-receiver module (4) for optical data transmission. The transceiver module is integrated into the outer standard plug. The contact elements of the inner function surface is arranged to contact the circuit board (5).
