SUBSTANCE: claimed method comprises calcining and grinding initial stock which includes galvanizing process slime, and calcination is carried out at 750-850 C for 10-80 min. To make pigments derived from calcium hydroxide containing slime less aggressive, prior to grinding operation, calcined slime is subjected to carbonization at 60-90 C for 20-90 min.
