PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate the sound source waveform data without causing a break in musical sounds by changing the sampling frequency of the generated sound source waveform data depending on the loading condition of the computing section which executes a waveform computing algorithm. SOLUTION: The loading condition of a CPU 1 is checked and if the loading is relatively heavy, a 1/2.FS sampling frequency is selected, the loading of the CPU 1 is reduced and no samples, in which no computation is executed, are generated. Moreover, if the frequency FS is set to 2FS, the number of computations to generate sound source waveform samples per frame is doubled compared with the case of 1FS and highly precise data are generated. If the loading condition of the CPU 1 is relatively light, a 2FS sampling frequency is selected and highly precise sound source waveform data samples are generated. |
