The invention relates to a temperature-regulating block for laboratory thermostats. Said block comprises receivers on a receiver side to pick up the areas in containers filled with sample liquids having large area contacts and at least two temperature-regulating devices which conduct heat by contact to the temperature-regulating block to produce different temperatures in different sections of the temperature-regulating block. Said block is further characterized in that the temperature-regulating devices are in contact in a large area with adjacent limiting fields of the contact side lying opposite the receiving side of the temperature-regulating block.
