The circuit has a zener diode (ZD1-ZDn) connected to at least one control element (P1-Pn) with its cathode (k) connected to the positive connection (+) of the control element and its anode (a) to the negative connection (-) of the control element or to the ground connection (GND) of the drive circuit. Each control element can have an individually associated zener diode. The connection between the control element and its zener diode can be made during manufacture of the control element. The zener diode can be integrated into the control element's housing.
