PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make is possible to manufacture a printing plate washable only with water without using an alkaline processing solution, by forming a water-soluble photosensitive layer containing a silver halide, a reducing agent, an ethylenically unsaturated polymerizable compound, a water-soluble polymer, and fine hydrophilic particles on an ink-receptive substrate. SOLUTION: The water-soluble photosensitive layer containing silver halide, a reducing agent, the ethylenically unsaturated polymerizable compound, the water-soluble polymer, and fine hydrophilic particles, is formed on the ink receptive substrate. The ink receptive layer 2, the photosensitive layer 3, and an overcoat layer 4 are laminated on the support 1, and the ink receptive substrate is composed of the support 1 and the ink receptive layer 2 made of an ink receptive polymer, and the photosensitive layer 3 comprises the silver halide, the reducing agent, the ethylenically unsaturated polymerizable compound, and the water-soluble polymer, and the fine hydrophilic particles 5 for forming roughness on the surface of the photosensitive layer, and the overcoat layer 4 contains polyvinyl alcohol having a saponification degree of >=90%. |
