SUBSTANCE: the bed is made in the form of a closed hollow frame, the bed longitudinal guides are made in the form of tense gauged steel rods, the rods are installed in parallel with one another and with the longitudinal axis of the lathe bed, which provides for convenient arrangement in the working space of two carriages. Installed from above on two strings is the mechanism of cutting tool spatial positioning, which contains a tool cutting unit. A spindle chuck and a tailstock sleeve center are located below the plane of the strings. All mechanisms are precisely correlated with the axes of rods as the main base members of the lathe bed.
