<p>The invention concerns a method for setting stones (4) in the surface of a jewel produced by electroforming, comprising the following steps: producing a base (1) having external shapes and dimensions with a thickness close to the gold film forming the wall of the jewel to be produced and having seats (5) for receiving the stones (4); depositing on the base (1), before setting the stones, a protective coating (10), then a thin gold film (11); setting the stones (4) in said seats (5); then depositing a second thicker gold film (12); and finally extracting or removing said base (1) and said protective coating (10). The invention is characterised in that when the base (1) is being produced, at least one passage (9) is provided perpendicular to each seat (5), capable of communicating, once the stone (4) is set, the space between it and the bottom of its seat (5) with outside, so as to enable the depositing of the second gold film (12) to reach said space. The invention is useful for jewels produced by electroforming.</p> |
