PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for smoothening and removing molding sand of reduced pressure casting mold which mechanically smoothens the molding sand at the upper part of a molding flask and also, surely removes the molding sand remaining on a forming film at the upper end of a sprue bar or/and a feeder heat bar without aggravating the environment. SOLUTION: This smoothening and removing method of the molding sand of the reduced pressure mold is composed of a process for charging the molding sand S in heaping state into a space demarcating a pattern plate 6 and the molding flask 8, a process for making the molding sand S into sucking and hardening state by evacuating the inner part of the molding flask 8 after smoothening and removing the molding sand S at the upper part of the molding flask 8 with a scraper 16 and a process for sucking and removing the molding sand S remaining on the forming film 2 at the upper end surface of the sprue bar 6A or/and the feeder head bar 6B by sucking the upper surface of the molding flask 8 with a suction nozzle 15. |
