The present invention provides an electrode plate, for a secondary battery with a nonaqueous electrolyte, which can enhance the utilization factor of an active material to provide high battery performance characteristics. The electrode plate comprises a collector; and a coating layer provided on the collector, the coating layer comprising a powdery active material, a conductive agent, and a binder, wherein the powdery active material is constituted by particles with a lamellar structure having lamellar cracks.
