The thermal fuse is in the form of a spring element having a loop 33 with a pair of arms 31,34. During installation on a circuit board 40 the arms are compressed and pads at the tips are soldered to contact points on the board 311,321. - When the current increases to a point where a critical temperature is attained, the solder melts and the arms are released to interrupt the supply. |
