PRODUCTION OF RHAMNOLIPID BY USING ETHANOL

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing rhamnolipid in high production efficiency and especially high accumulated concentration by using a fermenting production and further by using a water-soluble carbon source facilitating the separation and purification of the product. SOLUTION: This method for producing rhamnolipid comprises at step for culturing rhamnolipid producing micfoorganism belonging to the genus Pseudomonas in a culturing medium containing ethanol and a step for collecting the rhamnolipid from the cultured material, and the ethanol is added to the culturing medium so that the ethanol concentration in the culturing medium may be maintained to <=3%.
